Two days of break so far and all I've done is ride on buses and cram into hostels. The bus rides -- Dunedin to Queenstown, then Queenstown to Franz Josef -- have at least been scenic. (I have got to go back and hike in the beech rainforests west of Queenstown! Spectacular.) The most excitement has been from trying to cram 7 people into a 4-person hostel room. The things we'll do to cut costs...
Tomorrow, though, we're going glacier hiking. It should be a lot more fun.
